It started when I was young. I was 9 and my dad and I were walking past the bank in Lexington, KY.
He said: Save your money.
But the way I heard it, felt more like:

It was such a powerful moment of fear and scarcity I remember exactly where I was standing.

Most of us grow up with a family money story influenced in some way by the Great Depression.
Whether from a parent, a grandparent, or a great-grandparent… scarcity and fear got passed down from generation to generation.
They did the best they could with what they had.
But what they had was a strong experience of scarcity.
They couldn’t teach us Abundance because they didn’t have access to it themselves. Even if they had money there was a fear of losing it. Even with the best of intentions they taught us to be afraid.
